Greyhound Pets of America – Emerald Coast
Greyhound Pets of America, a racing neutral organization was founded in 1987 for the purpose of finding good pet homes for ex-racing Greyhounds. GPA-EC, A chapter of Greyhound Pets of America, is a volunteer, not-for-profit corporation organized to educate the public of the value of retired greyhounds as pets and receive and process greyhounds from the Ebro and Pensacola Greyhound Tracks for adoption. Hound Dog Howliday
Howliday is GPAEC’s largest annual fundraiser, featuring a different theme each year, and held in Gulf Breeze, Florida. CWS is home to a resident greyhound named Mo, who asked that we assist the group with their website and hosting. Since Mo said so, CWS designs, hosts, and maintains the Howliday website and works on Facebook posts also. View the website >.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer / American Cancer Society
Lisa Smith has walked every year in October since 2010, and she and her team “Down To a Ta” have helped to raise more than $30,000 to support ACS/MSABC in winning their fight against breast cancer. One of the main ways we’ve been so successful is through donations collected for handmade beaded bracelets, Bracelets for Boobies. Learn more at www.cancer.org or www.braceletsforboobies.com. Lisa served as MSABC 2011 honorary survivor chair and on the 2011 and 2012 MSABC organizing committee.
Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group
Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group provides an organized support group for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, whether it was several years ago or yesterday. Participants may be in remission or receiving treatment. BBud offers support to those who may now going through similar emotions or circumstance, in a positive and caring atmosphere of sharing experience and hope with each other.
